Noreside Celtic’s much anticipated fundraising evening which will include a raffle for two tickets to the Champions League Final in May will take place on this Saturday, February 27th. The event which has been in the planning for some time promises to be an unbelievable social occasion with over five hundred tickets already sold. The evening’s entertainment will kick off at the Norebrook Lounge in Clonakenny at 9pm with music by “The O’Connell Sisters”. Tickets are moderately priced at just €10.00 and this includes entry to the raffle for the two tickets to the Champions League final including the price of your flight to Madrid as well as the accommodation.
Money raised from this fundraising venture will go towards the upkeep of the club and hopefully long-term the club will be in a position to purchase a field they can call their own and set up a full Schoolboys system for the club. Tickets are available from all club members or if you would like to enter the draw on the night and cannot attend you can do so by contacting Noreside Celtic Vice Chairman/Secretary Tomás Matthews. Tickets will also be on sale at Roscrea Credit Union this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so all support would be very much appreciated.
Since it’s formation the club has gone from strength to strength servicing many parishes in the vicinity of Clonakenny including Clonmore, Templemore, Castleiney, Killea, Drom, Moneygall, Roscrea and Killavilla etc. The Club would like to thank it’s main sponsors Roscrea Credit Union as well as the Norebrook Lounge and Richie Ryan of Templetouhy Bus and Cab Hire for their support. Thanks also to the Damer Court Hotel in Roscrea who are offering special rates for those who have to travel long distances to Saturday’s event. Most of all, the club would like to thank Michael Lowry TD who sourced and sponsored the “Champions League” tickets for this event. Deputy Lowry will be in Clonakenny on Saturday evening next for the raffle.
There will also be a special draw on the night with all proceeds from the raffle going to the North Tipperary Hospice. This promises to be a superb night not to be missed with everybody hopefully in high spirits after yet another famous Irish victory in Twickenham and taking advantage of the special drinks offer available on the night. All support in this fundraising venture would be much appreciated as we try to build a future for the youth of Clonakenny and surrounding areas.
