All hurling and sports enthusiasts from Roscrea and surrounds will want to get their hands on this years edition of “A Year In The Red”. The magazine was launched on Friday evening last in the Damer Court Hotel when a fantastic night of entertainment was enjoyed by all those in attendance. Apart from reviewing the year at all levels in the club as well as a review of the Camogie Club and of hurling in our local schools, the magazine has some wonderful articles. The hurling exploits of the great Francis Loughnane are recalled in one section and the yearly trip down memory lane takes us back to 1984 when the Roscrea U21 team captured the County Championship. There is also a review of “The Mighty Blue & Gold”. It was a great honour for the club earlier in the year when Seamus Doran won the “Premier Supporters Song Competition” and the success is recalled in the magazine.
